Svetlana
(Lana) Tzondova, RPT is a European-trained physical therapist with
over 25 years of experience in sports rehabilitation therapy, working
in the U.S. for over 15 years. She has over 10 years of experience
specifically with pediatric and adolescent patients. She has special
interest in knee, back and joint rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Her excellent hands-on and individualized therapies have earned her
many praises.
Among her many athletic and international credentials, Svetlana is a
former Bulgarian National Champion in long-jump, as well as, a former
member of the National Team of Bulgaria. She was the former physical
therapist to the same Bulgarian team, as well as, the National Sports
Academy; also a former physical therapist at the Bulgarian National Rehabilitation
Center.
Svetlana and all therapists at S.T.A.R.S. are trained in manual lymph
drainage (MLD) and decongestive therapy (CDT). Svetlana has a
vast knowledge of the Vodder method of MLD and CDT therapies, spending
over 130 hours of classroom training and applying it later through many
years in the field. This has lead to many successful outcomes and praises
from former and current patients, as well as, health care professionals. |
